We are excited to announce a limited opening of our worship services on Sunday, June 7th. In order to have adequate space for social distancing, we will be limiting the amount of people entering the building. Each individual must preregister by filling out the reservation form below. Also, please note the procedures and guidelines for the re-opening below along with a message from Dave. 



  • Attendance will remain well below the 33% capacity threshold for each worship service and venue.
  • We will worship at our normal times of 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30.
  • There will be seating in our Auditorium with adequate social distancing; and table seating in our Christian Life Center so families with children can sit together around a table.
  • If you go to the service in the auditorium, you will park in the back lot. If you are attending the service in the Christian Life Center, you will park in the front lot.
  • You must compete a registration to attend. Click on the registration link above. 
  • If you need to return your reservation because you can no longer attend, please send an email to info@shelbychristian.org.
  • Do not attend if you are sick,  symptomatic or have recently been exposed to COVID-19.
  • We encourage those who are immuno-compromised, not in good health, or in a high-risk group to worship online instead of in-person.
  • Please practice safe social distancing by staying 6 feet apart. Do not shake hands or hug others.
  • Greeters will handle the doors or leave them open so you will not need to touch handles.
  • The Common Grounds area and the coffee bar have been closed off.
  • Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before the service begins. You will be asked to leave shortly after the service concludes.
  • Families should sit together and leave at least three seats between you and others.
  • There will be activity packs for the children in the Christian Life Center.
  • Children and Student Ministry programming will remain online only. Children will stay with parents at all times.
  • Please only bring children who are able to sit in place for the entire service and will obey social distancing procedures.
  • There will be no nursery provided at this time.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building.
  • The restrooms will be open for limited use only.
  • Bulletins will not be handed out.
  • Communion will be at stations. Please take what your family needs when you enter. At the end of the service, we ask you through your cups away. Everything will be prepared using gloves and masks.
  • Offering can be placed in the offering box when you enter or online.
  • We will have people cleaning between the services.
  • We will still be having online services and people hosting those services with the prayer line still open.
  • We will still be having drive up communion for those that don’t feel ready to attend but wish to come and receive communion.
