Students (6th - 12th)

Thanks for checking out Shelby Christian Student Ministry. Our purpose as a student ministry is to help students learn what it means to LOVE GOD and LOVE PEOPLE and to develop authentic relationships with Jesus Christ!

We think that happens best when students:

  • CONNECT RELATIONALLY
  • Students love God by connecting with Him on a personal level and developing a relationship with Him.
  • Students love people by connecting with other students to develop a system of encouragement, support, and accountability
  • Students love people by connecting with adults who encourage them and help guide them in discovering God’s plan for their lives.
  • GROW SPIRITUALLY
  • Students love God when they decide personally to accept Jesus as their savior
  • Students love God when their faith grows deeper in knowledge, commitment, and expression
  • Students love people when they model their lives after Jesus
  • EXAMINE BIBLICALLY
  • Students love God by acknowledging that the Bible is their ultimate authority and their primary source of encouragement, guidance, wisdom, and love.
  • Students love God by spending time regularly with Him in His Word
  • DECIDE PERSONALLY
  • Students love God when they decide personally to accept Jesus as their savior
  • Students love God when they decide to make their faith personal beyond their family & culture
  • Students love God and people when they decide to use their own unique gifts, talents, and stories to serve God and others.
  • SERVE ACTIVELY
  • Students love God when they use what He gifted them with for His glory
  • Students love people when they choose to serve others (Acts 1:8)

InsideOUT happens in a laid back atmosphere where we spend time playing games, worshiping, and studying God’s word together,

and seeing how His Word applies to our lives.

We then divide into small groups organized according to grade and gender and adult volunteers who love hanging out with middle and high school students lead them. Small groups spend time talking about what’s going on in their lives, studying God’s word, and praying for each other. We think small groups are incredibly important because it helps connect students together and provides an environment where they grow GROW closer to God and one another.

InsideOUT & Small Groups happen SUNDAY evenings

for middle school age students and  for high school and college-age

IN the Student Ministry building.

MIDDLE SCHOOL Programming starts at 10:30 AM and endS at 12:00 PM.

HIGH SCHOOL/COLLEGE PROGRAMMING STARTS AT 6:00PM AND ENDS at 8:00 PM.
