International Disaster Emergency Service exists to meet the physical and spiritual needs of suffering people throughout the world in the name of Jesus Christ.
Shelby Christian Church has worked alongside IDES for several decades. We send them $1,000 a month as part of our partnership agreement thru TOGETHER.
Members from IDES US Disaster Response team went to Eastern TN and Western NC to assess the needs of the area and connect with partner churches. They will be staging an on-the-ground response in Elizabethton, TN with First Christian Church to help that region. They are also partnering with Live Oak Christian Church in Live Oak, FL. Work will begin on Monday, October 7th.
